KILLALOE

• The Royal Irish Regiment was created in 1992 with the merger of The Royal Irish Rangers and The Ulster Defence Regiment.
• The band was formed a year later and when uniquely combining with Bugles, Pipes & Drums they boasted the largest regimental musical ensemble in the British Army before sadly disbanding in October 2007.
• Killaloe was one of the most popular marches in the Irish regiments of the British Army and is based on a song written for the 1887 London musical Miss Esmeralda.
• This collection brings together a fascinating collection of military music plus stirring film themes that include Out Of Africa and Braveheart.
